Warren Moore became a REALTOR® over 10 years ago after enjoying a successful, service oriented 32 years in the marine industry. Warren and his wife, Nancy, owned and operated a “mom and pop” boatyard here in Washington, NC for approximately 20 of those years. Toward the end of this venture, they developed their own variation of an established treatment for the remediation of osmotic blisters on fiberglass boats which proved to be very successful. Many boat owners benefited from this service from as far away as New York and even one from Lexington, Kentucky.
After leasing the boatyard, Warren attended the Chapman School of Seamanship in Stuart Florida, attending their Yacht and Small Craft Marine Surveying program. At graduation, Warren was awarded with an induction into the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society, which is a society that rewards “academic excellence, character and leadership.” After graduation, Warren was accepted into the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors, a marine surveying organization which, at the time, enjoyed a membership of approximately 1000 members in over a dozen countries. During his membership, Warren served for several years as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of SAMS® helping to administer 13 east coast US states and he later served as Secretary Pro Tem on the SAMS® Board of Directors.
Desiring a “kinder and gentler” occupation, Warren became a REALTOR® in 2004. Since that time, he has worked hard to attain the coveted CRS and GRI designations. He has served the local board as a Director and Chairman of the Three Rivers MLS Committee.
In 2007, Warren was awarded the Joseph Schweidler Memorial Scholarship Award by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission for outstanding academic excellence at the previous REALTOR® Institute. During 2008, he was selected by the North Carolina Real Estate Educational Foundation (NCREEF) to serve a 3-year term as an Educational Dean to help administer the REALTOR® Institute.
At the end of Warren’s tenure as an Educational Dean, he was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Real Estate Educational Foundation. While serving on the NCREEF BOD, he has served as the Chairperson for the demanding Curriculum Committee and on the Executive Committee as Secretary and President-Elect of the organization.
The common denominator for all of these businesses is service. Warren understands “old fashioned” service. He is working hard to develop Warren Moore Real Estate in Washington, NC and looks forward to discussing any interest that you might have in this area.
